Arkansas faces unprecedented economic, environmental and national security challenges. We urgently need new jobs, stable energy prices, and freedom from dirty fossil fuels and global warming pollution.
We will be asking Arkansans to join our effort, RepowerArkansas Action Network, to provide a citizen's action to encourage the 2009 General Assembly enact key provisions of Governor Beebe's Commission on Global Warming.
Our long range goals are:
1. Reduce CO2 levels to 350 ppm
2. Create at least 15,000 green collar jobs by 2012
3. Place a moratorium on all new coal fired power plants
4. Establish a time table for the decomissioning of all coal plants
With your involvement we can make a difference and ensure that Arkansas remains the Natural State!
